IPS Expands Long-Haul Underwater Data Transmission Capability with Ribbon’s IP Optic Solutions | Texas News

Leverages Apollo optical transport solutions for high-capacity service connections under the South China Sea with links exceeding 2,500 km (1,500 miles)

PLANO, TX, January 13, 2022 /CNW/ — Ribbon Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: RBBN), a global provider of real-time communications software and optical IP networking solutions for service providers, enterprises and critical infrastructure industries, today announced that IPS, a leading international connectivity service provider for CSPs, leverages Ribbon Apollo Optical Network solution to power 100Gigabit Ethernet (100GbE) services delivered over terrestrial and submarine cables from Manila at hong kong and Singapore.

“Our ability to seamlessly provide connectivity services to our customers over long distances is key to the success of our business,” said Koji Miyashita, President and CEO, IPS. “Ribbon’s optical transport technology has allowed us to maximize our available capacity and transmit world-class communication applications through our subsea services under the South China Sea.”
