Vodafone Idea is also present in the fiber broadband sector through its subsidiary, namely You Broadband. Vodafone Idea (Vi) broadband subsidiary is not as big as Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Jio or Airtel’s FTTH business, but it is growing. You Broadband has made several changes to its offerings in 2021. In cities like Ahmedabad, Navi Mumbai and more, You Broadband offers very competitive internet packages. Today we are listing some of the business plans you can research.
Vodafone Idea broadband plans in India to watch out for
As mentioned above, You Broadband isn’t such a big FTTH business. But it does provide service in some of the country’s major cities. In Mumbai, the company revamped its plans earlier this year and made them super competitive against offerings from Jio, Airtel and BSNL.
We list some of the You Broadband plans that the company offers in the Mumbai circle. You can choose plans with speeds of 40 Mbps, 60 Mbps, 100 Mbps, 150 Mbps and 200 Mbps. Note that none of these plans come with over-the-top (OTT) benefits. So if you are someone who wants OTT benefits or other additional perks, go for FTTH plans from other carriers.
The 40 Mbps plan starts at Rs 590 (tax included) for 30 days; Likewise, the 60 Mbps plan starts at Rs 679 (tax included), the 100 Mbps plan starts at Rs 826 (tax included), the 150 Mbps plan starts at Rs 944 (tax included) and the 200 Mbps plan starts at Rs 1 062 (taxes included).
All of these plans are also available for long term validity. Users get 3.5TB or 3,500GB of monthly Fair Use Policy (FUP) data with this plan. You Broadband also provides users with free Wi-Fi / modem access. But it’s only free after paying a one-time fully refundable Rs 1,999 security deposit.
The router provided by You Broadband supports dual band connectivity and is ideal for high speed FTTH plans. With long-term broadband plans, customers also get extra days of service from the company. With the 90-day plan, users benefit from an additional five days of validity. With the 180-day or six-month plan, users benefit from ten additional days of validity and finally, with the 365-day plan, users benefit from 15 additional days of You Broadband service.
You Broadband also offers voice plans to users, but its rates are different from unlimited plans. Again, none of these plans offer any OTT perks, which is kind of a bummer.
